<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Good things come in small packages just like winters in Karachi. They hardly last a month but we relish and celebrate this weather.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FwGMn9V3IAk/ULsObZ-_TCI/AAAAAAAABjU/RSeXoF69kio/s1600/HotChocolate1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FwGMn9V3IAk/ULsObZ-_TCI/AAAAAAAABjU/RSeXoF69kio/s640/HotChocolate1.jpg" width="474" /></a></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Usually Karachiites enjoy a cold winter evening with a hot cup of espresso with roasted peanuts or a bowl of chicken corn soup but every one likes to be fancy few days and that's where hot chocolate makes an appearance.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yqn0yaHoVpo/ULsOeo9vNWI/AAAAAAAABjc/H2orjbPqZew/s1600/HotChocolate2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yqn0yaHoVpo/ULsOeo9vNWI/AAAAAAAABjc/H2orjbPqZew/s640/HotChocolate2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Smooth and velvety in texture, this is the best home made hot chocolate you will ever have. I don't like heat in my hot chocolate but if you do, you are most welcome to add cinnamon, cayenne or nutmeg and make this even better.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">One more thing, DON'T be lazy and miss the blender step! Blending is what makes this cup of hot chocolate so sublime and satisfying.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Ingredients:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Milk (2-1/2 cups)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Sugar (3 tbsp)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Cadbury chocolate-chopped (80 gms)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Good quality cocoa powder (2 tbsp)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Marshmallows (optional)</span></li>
</ol>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Method:</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">In a medium sized sauce pan stir together milk, sugar, chopped chocolate and cocoa powder.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Bring to bowl over a medium heat.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Continue whisking until chocolate and cocoa dissolves and the mixture thickens.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Reduce heat to low and blend using a hand blender for about 3-4 minutes until thick and foamy.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Serve in mugs topped with marshmallows or whipped cream.</span></li>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The newest place to jump on the cupcake bandwagon in Pakistan is Cinnabon. Like many people, I have been a big fan of their cinnamon buns ever since their launch in Pakistan and as if that was not enough, Cinnabon launched 3 flavors of its cupcakes to tease our sweet tooth some more!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NH-eOTJZvII/UH-7oopjkmI/AAAAAAAABfM/qp6PMLJfMIs/s1600/320432_10151202674409349_2097620811_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NH-eOTJZvII/UH-7oopjkmI/AAAAAAAABfM/qp6PMLJfMIs/s400/320432_10151202674409349_2097620811_n.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a>The launch took place on Sunday 14th October at the Dolmen Mall Clifton. It was a fun filled activity where VJ Anoushey hosted cup cake eating competition and distributed Cinnabon gift vouchers to lucky winners.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_XnkEHB3sPw/UH6umElJQpI/AAAAAAAABYg/C6pJOZDqEfY/s1600/IMG_0047+(1).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_XnkEHB3sPw/UH6umElJQpI/AAAAAAAABYg/C6pJOZDqEfY/s400/IMG_0047+(1).JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Food Connection PK invited me and few other bloggers to taste test the newly launched cupcakes which come in three exciting flavors: Chocolate Passion, Vanilla Bliss and Red Velvet.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lHczdG0ANek/UH6uLlFJaFI/AAAAAAAABYY/gQkyJHb-BTU/s1600/IMG_0037.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lHczdG0ANek/UH6uLlFJaFI/AAAAAAAABYY/gQkyJHb-BTU/s400/IMG_0037.JPG" width="323" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Chocolate Passion was my favorite out of the three. It's a moist chocolate cake topped with rich chocolate butter cream frosting and is an absolute winner. Price Rs. 135 each.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_tzSJlBas7Q/UH6wgxqMHuI/AAAAAAAABYo/R49dwHn0Mqw/s1600/Chocolate_cinnabon_original.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_tzSJlBas7Q/UH6wgxqMHuI/AAAAAAAABYo/R49dwHn0Mqw/s400/Chocolate_cinnabon_original.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Vanilla Bliss came second which was moist, buttery cake with luscious Vanilla Butter Cream frosting and had a very dominant Vanilla flavor which is an absolute plus! </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Price Rs. 135 each.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MIVtcvqfh_w/UH6xZCjN7II/AAAAAAAABYw/VRzBw6fge20/s1600/Cinnabon_vanilla_original.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MIVtcvqfh_w/UH6xZCjN7II/AAAAAAAABYw/VRzBw6fge20/s400/Cinnabon_vanilla_original.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Last was Red Velvet cake. Nothing much has to be said about it since it failed miserably to win my taste buds over. Cinnabon still needs to work hard to perfect their Red Velvet.. </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Price Rs. 135 each.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LMGhCIHRpMk/UH6x8uSeF_I/AAAAAAAABY4/MNVHBittQNY/s1600/cinnabon_red_velvet_original.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LMGhCIHRpMk/UH6x8uSeF_I/AAAAAAAABY4/MNVHBittQNY/s400/cinnabon_red_velvet_original.jpg" width="397" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Cinnabon realizes that cupcakes are not fad anymore and their tag line makes a very strong promise stating "Anything else is just a CupFake" but is this promise fulfilled? Only time will tell..</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I have another guest post for y'all today! And this time it's Asiya from <a href="http://www.chocolateandchillies.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Chocolate & Chillies</a>. Asiya is one of my blogging friends and a very sweet, stay at home mom who has a wonderful blog with some really pretty photographs. She masters Pakistani/Indian cooking and never fails to amaze me when she presents the simplest dishes in the most pretty ways. For instance check out her <a href="http://chocolateandchillies.blogspot.com/2012/03/masoor-ki-daal.html" target="_blank">Masoor ki Daa</a>l.. Don't you feel like grabbing a chapatti and digging right in?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">It is so kind of her to guest post on The Recipe Code today and I am so happy that she made for us one of our most favorite desserts.. the Mango Ice cream! Like seriously, who doesn't love this stuff?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I was very honoured when Zee asked me to do a guest post on her blog. I discovered The Recipe Code through Facebook. I loved her photography. So I started to visit her blog more often. I love the whole concept of the Recipe Code...finding the "code" to the perfect recipe.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">For my guest post I thought I would do something that was perfect for the upcoming summer. I got a ice cream maker attachment for my mixer recently and have been experimenting with different recipes. I found this recipe on <a href="http://sadaf-culinaryadventures.blogspot.ca/2012/04/1-2-3-mango-ice-cream.html" target="_blank">My Culinary Adventures</a>. The original recipe doesn't use an ice cream maker but I wanted to try it out using one. It's a very simple recipe with only 3 ingredients: mango pulp, Cool Whip and condensed milk. This recipe reminds me of the ice cream that is served at weddings. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4gHnDAgcOdE/T9MGFHKp48I/AAAAAAAAA-E/SRyMTbWHPAo/s1600/MangoIceCream3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4gHnDAgcOdE/T9MGFHKp48I/AAAAAAAAA-E/SRyMTbWHPAo/s640/MangoIceCream3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I used low fat Cool Whip and condensed milk but I would recommend using the original ones for best flavour. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Mango Ice Cream</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: x-small;">Adapted from <a href="http://sadaf-culinaryadventures.blogspot.ca/2012/04/1-2-3-mango-ice-cream.html" target="_blank">My Culinary Adventures</a></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">1 tin mango pulp</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">3 cups Cool Whip</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">1 tin condensed milk</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">In a large bowl combine mango pulp and condensed milk.. Fold in Cool Whip. Put in fridge until chilled. Pour into ice cream maker and proceed according to your ice cream maker instructions.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">If you are not using an ice cream maker, pour in an airtight container and keep in the freezer until ready.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Thank you again Zee for the opportunity to guest post on your wonderful blog!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">The Tunnel of Fudge cake was a technical revolution: first, it produced a moist cake with a fudgy, uncooked center, perhaps the ancestor of the modern Molten Chocolate Cake. Second, it used a Bundt pan.</span></div>

<li>Bake at 350°F. for 45 to 50 minutes or until top is set and edges are beginning to pull away from sides of pan.** </li>
<li>Cool upright in pan on wire rack 1 1/2 hours. </li>
<li>Invert onto serving plate; cool at least 2 hours. </li>
<li>In small bowl, combine all glaze ingredients, adding enough milk for desired drizzling consistency. Spoon over top of cake, allowing some to run down sides. </li>
<li>Store tightly covered.</li>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I am sharing with you all today, by far the easiest recipe on my blog. Inspired by Nando's Chicken Pita, this meal was made in less than 15 minutes! Perfect for those week nights when you come home tired and craving a simple yet delicious dinner.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: justify;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a>As I am a <a href="http://therecipecode.blogspot.com/2012/03/peri-peri-pasta.html" target="_blank">BIG fan of Nando's</a> I used Nando's Extra Hot Peri Peri sauce for this recipe and I suggest you should do the same for best results. However, if you do not want to use the same sauce, you can easily replace it with many <a href="http://www.nandos.com.au/sauces-and-recipes/peri-peri-sauces" target="_blank">other flavours of Nando's sauces</a> or even a different sauce of you choice.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: justify;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: justify;">Similarly, to make these sandwiches, I used whole wheat pita bread which is easily available at most bakeries and </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: justify;">patisseries. If you do not like whole wheat pita, you can easily replace it with white pita bread. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><b>Method:</b></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Add 2 tbsp Nando's Extra Hot Peri Peri Sauce to chicken and mix until all pieces are well coated.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">In a pan heat oil and cook chicken pieces until tender and all water dries.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">While the chicken is cooking, prepare your veggies.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Cut the pita bread in half. Using a sharp knife, slit one half of the bread to make a pocket. Most pita breads already have a pocket so this should not be a problem.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Place half slice of cheddar cheese in the pocket.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Fill half pocket with veggies.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Place 3-4 pieces of chicken over veggies.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Add Nando's Extra Hot Peri Peri Sauce and mayonnaise (1 tbsp each)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Fill the rest of the pocket wit more veggies.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Once all pockets are prepared, place them in the microwave for 30 - 45 seconds to melt the cheese. Serve hot with garlic fries and more Nando's peri peri sauce.</span></li>
</ol>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><b>Note:</b> Sometimes it is difficult to make a pocket in pita bread, in such a situation you can easily sandwich the veggies between two pita breads. Everything else remains the same.</span></div>

<a name='more'></a>Situated in the largest and classiest shopping mall of Karachi, and
with a tastefully done interior, Gloria Jean's is a perfect spot for breakfast
on the go or to hangout for coffee with friends. You can relax on the couches
and enjoy a good book while sipping coffee. The restaurant has a great view overlooking
the beach and the management plans to set up a balcony very soon for those who
would like to enjoy their coffee in fresh air.<br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Gloria Jean's International is very proud of the beverages it serves and hence using the exact same recipe and ingredients, the local management too serves the replica of coffee and drinks which the Australians boast about. The coffee itself is nice but personally I felt that there was no outstanding factor in their cappuccino as compared to other coffee houses of the city. We tried three of their drinks; Very Vanilla Chiller, Mix Berry Chiller and Lemon Lychee Iced Tea. The Mix Berry Chiller was a bit too sweet for my taste but refreshing, however Very Vanilla Chiller was delicious. Neither too sweet nor too strong, it was a perfect combination of espresso and vanilla. The Lemon Lychee Iced Tea however did not come upto the mark.</span></div>

<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Onion (sliced lengthwise -1)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Tomato (seeded </span>/ <span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">sliced lengthwise -2)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Bell pepper </span> (<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">sliced lengthwise -1)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Tomato ketchup (1/4 cup)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Hot Sauce (3 tbsp)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Cooking Oil (2 tbsp)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Butter (melted - 3 tbsp)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Cream Cheese (1/2 cup)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Tortillas (6-8)</span></li>
</ol>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><b>Method:</b></span></div>
<div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Marinate chicken cubes with lemon and salt. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">In a pan, heat oil and saute minced garlic. </span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">When the garlic starts to brown, add marinated chicken and cook on high flame
while stirring. You don't want the chicken to get burned. </span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">When
all water dries and chicken starts browning, add onions, bell peppers and tomatoes and cook on high flame for another 30 seconds while stirring continuously.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Now, turn down the heat to low, add ketchup and hot sauce.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Mix well until everything in the pan is well coated with ketchup. Switch off stove.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Spread cream cheese on the tortillas and spread chicken fajita on half of the tortilla.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Fold the other half on top (it should look like a semi-circle).</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Heat an empty frying pan, lightly brush the top of folded tortilla with some oil or butter and place in the frying pan, butter side down. </span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">While the quesadilla is toasting from one side, brush the other side too and flip.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Once both sides are done, dish out, cut in 3 equal parts and serve immediately. </span></li>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">When I went to Thailand four years ago, the first meal we had there was a breakfast in the hotel where we were staying. It had an extensive menu and included lots of savory and sweet dishes. Being a lover of savory meals, I first attacked on the spring rolls and nuggets that were served for the breakfast. That's when I noticed a sauce placed right beside the spring roll dish. Just out curiosity I poured 1 spoon of that sauce in my plate and when I tasted it, I was hooked instantly. I took me no longer than 1 minute to ask the waiter what it was and the rest of my stay in Thailand was accompanied by food slathered in Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">This sauce has a distinct sweetish, chilly and garlicky flavor. I bought two large bottles of the magical sauce on my way back but after they finished, I couldn't find them anywhere in my city. As time passed I nearly forgot about my favorite sauce until I came across this recipe on Lauren's blog. The very next day I went to the grocery store to start my search again and this time I was lucky enough to find it and I now use this dipping sauce in and with EVERY thing.</span></div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: justify;">Yes, it's that good! Take my word for it.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: justify;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I suggest you go look for it ASAP in a convenience store near you or in an Asian store if you have a hard time finding it because once you make these chicken bites and dip 'em in this sauce and taste it, you won't be able to stop. I am sure.</span></span><br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">While everyone on the blogoshpere is celebrating Cinco De Mayo and posting recipes of delicious Mexican food, I could not resist making Mexican food myself this weekend. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iA9rMvkP654/T6lLjgSs4fI/AAAAAAAAAug/yZ0D7OiVw4c/s1600/DSC_1894.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="422" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iA9rMvkP654/T6lLjgSs4fI/AAAAAAAAAug/yZ0D7OiVw4c/s640/DSC_1894.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a>To be honest I did not know about Cinco De Mayo until a week ago when every one started doing round ups of Mexican recipes, the reason being I live too far away from the US and I also donot have any Mexican friends. So I did a little research and I found out that Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in US by Mexicans in remembrance of a battle won in a small town Southeast of Mexico city.
<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ptRxvRAk3P0/T6k6VjGza-I/AAAAAAAAAsw/DwgIhZyOhYI/s1600/Beef+Enchilladas.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ptRxvRAk3P0/T6k6VjGza-I/AAAAAAAAAsw/DwgIhZyOhYI/s640/Beef+Enchilladas.jpg" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">All the pictures and recipes of Mexican food gave me really bad cravings of enchiladas, tacos, fajitas and quesadillas so I ended up making Beef Enchiladas for Sunday night dinner. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">The enchiladas are made in 3 parts;</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">First, the tortillas</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Second, mince filling</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">And third, the tomato sauce</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">You can use ready made tortillas also but I prefer home made ones.. Although they add more than a bit of extra work but the softness and taste is incomparable to store bought ones. So for the tortillas you will need:</span><br />
<br />
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Flour (1/2 kg)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Salt (1 tsp)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Baking Powder (1 tsp)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Luke warm water (for kneading)</span></li>
</ol>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-z-WATqGOf5o/T6lEWsdxoJI/AAAAAAAAAtk/_pYgdGwjgxw/s1600/DSC_1870.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><img border="0" height="360" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-z-WATqGOf5o/T6lEWsdxoJI/AAAAAAAAAtk/_pYgdGwjgxw/s640/DSC_1870.JPG" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Method:</span><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Knead dough like you would knead for chapati or use your stand mixer.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">When the dough stops sticking to the bowl, transfer it to a clean bowl, cover with a cloth and let rest on the kitchen counter for an hour.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Make tortillas like chapatis are made at home or you can also use a tortilla maker.</span></li>
</ul>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">For the mince filling and tomato sauce, you will need the following ingredients:</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Ingredients for mince filling:</span><br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Masala Dosa. This was the very first time I had ever tasted Masala Dosa and boy did I fell in love with it instantly! A must try for all who are not yet familiar to North Indian cuisine. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">If you are a resident of K-Town or if you have ever visited, you must be aware of the famous Bar be Que Tonight restaurants and their delicious hummus which is served with garlic naan as appetizer. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Hummus is a dip spread and is basically of Middle Eastern origin, made of chick peas or garbanzo beans. This treat is so indulgent that I can never have enough of it and some times I end up filling up on this alone instead of having actual dinner.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Adn-hAd4F5g/T46ZhJ92S-I/AAAAAAAAAng/Lv6gdRpcGCg/s1600/Hummus.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="488" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Adn-hAd4F5g/T46ZhJ92S-I/AAAAAAAAAng/Lv6gdRpcGCg/s640/Hummus.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">It's been a while since we have gone out for dinners because of our crazy schedules and frequent out station trips so I decided to make Hummus at home.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wKzkT8Fuyv4/T5ky45tSL8I/AAAAAAAAAoQ/19fFbZHd0es/s1600/hummus3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="484" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wKzkT8Fuyv4/T5ky45tSL8I/AAAAAAAAAoQ/19fFbZHd0es/s640/hummus3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">To my surprise, I actually managed to finish making it from scratch in less than 10 minutes! Unbelievable right?</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QfJn7m2d_yc/T46ZlHcu4FI/AAAAAAAAAno/SmnMHoZ2NJQ/s1600/Hummus2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="398" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QfJn7m2d_yc/T46ZlHcu4FI/AAAAAAAAAno/SmnMHoZ2NJQ/s640/Hummus2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">And it didn't even require any thing special. Every thing that was already in my pantry.</span></div>

<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor or blender.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Blend for 5-6 minutes until smooth. While blending continue adding olive oil in small quantities until you have added 1/2 a cup complete.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">When all ingredients are well blended and form a smooth consistency, place in a serving bowl and garnish with olive oil, olives and paprika.</span></li>

<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">In my case, life gave me left over <a href="http://therecipecode.blogspot.com/2012/04/lemon-sorbet.html" target="_blank">Lemon Sorbet</a> but I still made a lemonade out of it.</span></div><a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">It has started getting really hot in our city. Like REALLY hot. And humid. Just like June/July weather. </span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">So yesterday while I was looking for something refreshing to drink, I opened the freezer and there in a bowl was one scoop of lemon sorbet that I made <a href="http://therecipecode.blogspot.com/2012/04/lemon-sorbet.html" target="_blank">earlier</a>. I could have eaten that straight away but I wanted more and I knew this wouldn't be enough to quench my thirst.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">So I let it stand on the kitchen counter for 5 minutes and then mixed it with 1 glass of cold water. I also added few mint leaves and just a pinch of salt. There was no need to add extra ice due to the sorbet.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">It was SO refreshing and easy. Next time I make lemon sorbet, I'll remember to make one extra batch for a quick lemonade fix.</span></div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54490/84/E73032E94089D8671EE9444B4C91CA1F.png" style="background: transparent; border: 0 !important;" /></a></div>Zeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02665846525526796237noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4818235538879834827.post-22818910272415414472012-04-17T09:06:00.002-07:002012-04-17T10:50:40.911-07:00Chicken Capsicum Cream with Butter Rice - 2nd prize winner recipe of Sufi's Master Chef<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">As <a href="http://therecipecode.blogspot.com/2012/04/savory-chicken-cake-winning-recipe-of.html" target="_blank">promised to you earlier</a>, here I am today, with the recipe which secured 2nd position in Sufi's Master Chef Competition. This recipe was submitted by Ms. Kiran Razzak and I must say this was one delicious dish!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GlE_ZfDLJrA/T42XoS-wYHI/AAAAAAAAAnA/_UeE2J7bRkw/s1600/CCC.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><img border="0" height="422" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GlE_ZfDLJrA/T42XoS-wYHI/AAAAAAAAAnA/_UeE2J7bRkw/s640/CCC.jpg" width="640" /></span></a></div><a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">It was delicious, creamy and had a crunchy texture due to capsicum.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nOwTZZG2rzw/T42anQq5ltI/AAAAAAAAAnQ/T5VDHxNlTc0/s1600/CCC2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nOwTZZG2rzw/T42anQq5ltI/AAAAAAAAAnQ/T5VDHxNlTc0/s640/CCC2.jpg" width="384" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Butter rice added appeal and interest to the dish and resulted in a very flavorful combination.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gdfy7B0oOd4/T42n2nD29fI/AAAAAAAAAnY/SpbEexzxYH8/s1600/CCC1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><img border="0" height="378" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gdfy7B0oOd4/T42n2nD29fI/AAAAAAAAAnY/SpbEexzxYH8/s400/CCC1.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">However, for me, this dish lost few points due to the amount of seasonings used. I personally like spicy food so I added little more chilies to enhance the flavor. But over all it was a nice and easy recipe with good flavors.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />

Its easy to do and fun too. If you haven't tried it yet, take my words, you will love it!</span></div><a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-M-qanA_djNg/T4w7OEpMglI/AAAAAAAAAmI/rpdvrnXB6Ps/s1600/DSC_1215%5B1%5D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-M-qanA_djNg/T4w7OEpMglI/AAAAAAAAAmI/rpdvrnXB6Ps/s640/DSC_1215%5B1%5D.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">All you need is garlic (ofcourse!), few drops of olive oil and just a pinch of mixed herbs. An hour into the oven and you have got your self a creamy, aromatic and dream worthy ingredient which can boost up flavors in pretty much every recipe.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IcYjUZPkCzw/T4w7sDcgHyI/AAAAAAAAAmQ/kI6O-5s6BQE/s1600/DSC_1216%5B1%5D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IcYjUZPkCzw/T4w7sDcgHyI/AAAAAAAAAmQ/kI6O-5s6BQE/s640/DSC_1216%5B1%5D.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Just chop off the head of garlic, pour some olive oil into its brains and sprinkle a pinch of mixed herbs.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fK69mdYcwq8/T4w8Q0vd0jI/AAAAAAAAAmY/YYrDAyXP-_0/s1600/DSC_1256%5B1%5D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fK69mdYcwq8/T4w8Q0vd0jI/AAAAAAAAAmY/YYrDAyXP-_0/s640/DSC_1256%5B1%5D.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Wrap in aluminium foil, place on a pan in the oven and roast for 45 to 50 minutes.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />

<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Once done, allow to cool for some time before handling.</span> <span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Press lightly to squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves out of their skin.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">And there my good friends, is an ingredient you will absolutely love. </span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Yes it's still spring but it feels like summer has already started. Two things are reminding us constantly that a real hot weather is just around the corner...</span></span></div><a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">One is the soaring temperature which have already gone as high as 94 this year, and its just April yet! can you believe that? Mother nature has her own ways of taking revenge. </span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">The second thing which is much more pleasing and promises of a sweet summer are these baby mangoes. We have a mango tree in our back yard and this is the second year it is giving fruit. </span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w55qLJ0GKho/T4Lw4g3aGOI/AAAAAAAAAkM/cfDK2M-DKOw/s1600/baby+mangoes3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w55qLJ0GKho/T4Lw4g3aGOI/AAAAAAAAAkM/cfDK2M-DKOw/s640/baby+mangoes3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Last year we had only 2 mangoes on it which fell off while they were babies but this year there are much more and we hope to eat our own home grown mangoes this year!</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">But since there is much more time left to enjoy these mangoes and temperature is continuously rising, we decided to indulge in another tangy and juicy treat which is best to quench the thirst and gives instant refreshment during hot summer days. </span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FgMXHGGvNF8/T4Lx7wNKHRI/AAAAAAAAAkU/cO1fdFKqMLo/s1600/Lemon+Sorbet+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="554" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FgMXHGGvNF8/T4Lx7wNKHRI/AAAAAAAAAkU/cO1fdFKqMLo/s640/Lemon+Sorbet+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Yes the tangy, sweet, delicious and refreshing Lemon Sorbet!</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fSp_B5fGbNI/T4LznwEFOuI/AAAAAAAAAkk/w7robLQe1mU/s1600/lemon+sorbet4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="378" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fSp_B5fGbNI/T4LznwEFOuI/AAAAAAAAAkk/w7robLQe1mU/s640/lemon+sorbet4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Very commonly known as ice cream's poor cousin, it is genuinely the most refreshing thing on the planet! And the best part is, you can easily make it at home even without an ice cream maker!</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Do you know what's even better? It requires only three ingredients!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZnzTje2TZFE/T4L1IBnI0II/AAAAAAAAAks/Fb8Fbur5g6M/s1600/lemon+sorbet+ingredients.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZnzTje2TZFE/T4L1IBnI0II/AAAAAAAAAks/Fb8Fbur5g6M/s640/lemon+sorbet+ingredients.jpg" width="636" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Ingredients:</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><ol><li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Water (1 cup)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Sugar (3/4 cup)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Lemon Juice (3/4 cup)</span></li>
</ol><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H4k8NlLQcvU/T4MAQjYawkI/AAAAAAAAAk0/7_Kp20Oqqwo/s1600/lemon+sorbet+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H4k8NlLQcvU/T4MAQjYawkI/AAAAAAAAAk0/7_Kp20Oqqwo/s640/lemon+sorbet+6.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span></div><div><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Method:</span></div><div><ul><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Make a syrup by heating sugar and water in a pan over medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.</span></span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 22px; text-align: left;">Add lemon juice and chill the mixture in the fridge until thoroughly cooled.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 22px; text-align: left;">Pour the lemon mixture into a shallow bowl or pan. Freeze until almost solid. Take out of the freezer, and thoroughly stir it with a fork or a whisk. Put back into freezer and freeze until almost solid.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 22px;">Take out of the freezer and stir it well again. Repeat 4-5 times with 1 hour intervals until it takes form of soft snow.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 22px;">Freeze in in air tight container until ready to use.</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 22px;">If you are unable to keep it soft, scoop out the frozen mixture and place it into a food processor. Pulse until smooth. Transfer sorbet to airtight container and return to freezer</span></li>
